Chipper little video to one of the more pressing "Peak Moments" we will experience in our lifetimes -this one concerns water. In addition to Oil and Water, we also need to be acutely concerned with "Peak" Topsoil and "Peak" Food. Thanks again to the BBC for covering topics that get skipped in American "media".

Quick shot of some less environmental damaging notebook computers. Good News! They are all very high end! Bad news? They are all very high end... Would still like to see MUCH more cradle to grave design on our "disposable" computers.
Design Puzzle for New Honda Hybrid | Hybrid Cars

From the page: "Some of the questions Honda designers faced in creating the look and feel of the new yet-to-be-named global hybrid: How do we achieve groundbreaking aerodynamics? How do we steal the Prius halo without stealing its design? What about design cues from the Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle? How do we make it crystal clear that this new car is a hybrid?" ****the kicker is that a truncated tear drop shape is the most aero dynamic out there -if you want a slippery, fuel sipping car, you are rather hands tied on the general shape.

Very good that we are refocusing on the needs of those afflicted by AIDS, but I am disappointed that the article doesn't mention the MILLIONS of undiagnosed AIDS cases in the 3rd world if our rate jumped 40% with the new test. More must be done.

From the page: "What does it take to make a four-seater car that equals the gas mileage of hybrids sold in the States, but without the expensive battery pack and electric motors?" **** Stellar! Now add a hybrid system as an option for $3k and let it get 90mpg -on biodiesel! Ford -GIVE US THIS CAR!

I like this one ALOT better than the last one with the Mom saying McCain can't have her baby. Humor is a better weapon.

From the page: "AN ORGANIC farming campaign was launched by the EU at the Foire de Libramont agricultural fair in Belgium yesterday. Under the slogan: "Organic farming. Good for nature, good for you", the campaign aims to inform consumers about the meaning and benefits of organic farming and food production. " Good slogan, and I like the fact that there is some marketing support on the website. Given the BILLIONS spent on conventional ag support, I hope this is just the start!

From the page: "''We dug one-foot-square holes,'' Gregory said. 'The first farmer counted three worms in his soil. The second had four. We dug mine and counted 179 worms. Both of them called me a liar to my face. They said, `This is B.S., you put the worms in there.' We went out and dug another hole where they wanted in my field. They counted 180 worms.''"
